Helloooo Lover...

We are finally one day away from the opening of SATC2! In tribute to my favorite leading lady... and of course dear friend (don't judge!)... I have put together some of Carrie's most memorable looks from the series - seriously I can't get enough of her over the top fashion! There is no one else that can wear an array of different patterns and trends all at once and still look so put-together and stylish! Her eclectic style is a constant reminder to have fun and be confident with what you wear - you don't always have to be by the book to be fabulous!

Today is actually my friend, Camille's birthday (shout out!)... and in celebration of her day she is having a SATC2 party this Saturday! All the girls are meeting at her house for a cocktail (or three!) and then having a driver pick everyone up and off to the movies! Of course she has requested that everyone dress to the nines in your most fabulous of fabulous cocktail attire... and she has a pretty number picked out for herself as well - she will be rocking the famous tutu from the opening credits of the series! She found one that is a dead on replica! I am making her an over the top 'Carrie' inspired brooch - she will be too cute for words! I will share pics of the cosmo-packed evening next week!

I think I figured out what I am doing this evening while the boyfriend is away - popping in a SATC DVD... maybe I should start with season one (don't worry I have them all!) and go from there! Yes - sounds like the perfect night!

My Inner Hippie...

I have always had much more of a so called preppy style as a opposed to the bohemian look... but I will have to say that this Gap tee is calling my name - I am loving the stripes as well as the tie-dye print! I guess it is my inner hippie roaring to come out... not to mention it looks incredibly comfy and versatile. I am definitely going to make a special trip to the mall just for these... and the best part is all of the colors it comes in... actually I stand corrected the best part is the amazing price - $15! Yes, Please! Get one (or two!) here!

Twinkle Toes...

Although I hung up my ballerina slippers many moons ago - I am still constantly searching for the perfect ballerina flat. Not always the easiest of tasks... It wasn't until recently when I learned about a designer - Bloch - typically known for their traditional ballet and pointe shoes (for actual ballerinas). Bloch has been hand-crafting shoes for dancers for seventy-five plus years and it wasn't until the recent years that they created a line for street wanna-bes like me! That's right - can you imagine how comfortable these suckers must be - not only that they come in an array of drool worthy styles and colors - a must have in my book! Even the infamous Anna Wintour has been quoted many a times saying that Bloch ballerina flats are a must have - that is some advice I will gladly accept!

Peanuts and Cracker Jack's...

Off to the Padres game! I am going to the game with Dylan and his Dad - we have a friendly rivalry going - as they are Giants fans and I am the sole Pads fan! I love baseball games... cant really sit through a whole game on TV but throw me a hot dog and some peanuts and I am good to go in the stands :-)

Play ball!

Boise Lovin'...

Sorry about not writing yesterday - after a whirlwind of a weekend I needed a day to decompress :-) I had a wonderful weekend in the land of potatoes! To be honest I wasn't expecting much from Boise - but boy was I wrong! Can I just say that I fell in love with the quaint, little town... seriously! I have never encountered such friendly people in my life! And the downtown area were some of the cleanest streets that I have ever walked on. The wedding was beautiful and the bride and groom couldn't be more perfect for each other... two of the most genuine, lovely people I have ever met - everything from the ceremony at a gorgeous church and the reception at the stadium - yep you heard me correctly... the reception was in the sky box with floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown Boise, beautiful mountains and the coolest part - the blue football field which was obviously very fitting since the groom played football and the bride played soccer at Boise State! Seriously - it couldn't have been more perfect!

All and all it was a fabulous weekend spent with good peeps, fabulous setting and of course lots and lots of vino :-)

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

Leaving tomorrow morning for Boise, Id... for a wedding! I am pretty excited! I have never been to Boise - so excited to check out a new city... I am sure there will be a lot more to offer than just potatoes :-)

I wont be posting for the remainder of the week... so have a fabulous rest of the work week and weekend! See ya Monday!

Eyelet Lovin'...

Tried this lovely on - seriously so flippin cute!
Loving the blue and white...
I love this crisp white number!
Perfect flowy top for the summer months...
Love the contrast sash to accentuate the waist...

Today my Mom and I made a trip to the mall to look for a last minute dress for me to wear to the wedding this weekend... of course our first stop - Anthropologie - was the only stop needed... which is sort of funny considering we have one less than five minutes from my house!

Anyways... while browsing the racks I kept coming across eyelet perfection! I remember wearing a lot of eyelet dresses when I was younger... I was smitten then and still smitten now. Unfortunately I had to force myself to stay on track of the current mission (wedding attire) so I didn't try too many of the eyelet pieces on (mostly white - and call me traditional but I would never show up to a wedding in white or ivory!)... seriously there are too many lovelies to show... but I have included a few of my favs!

Summer may not be in the air yet... but these beauties make it feel pretty darn close :-)

Holy Miss USA!

Miss California

Miss Minnesota
Miss South Dakota
Miss Tennessee Miss Wyoming

Wow! Have you seen the official photographs for the fifty-one contestants for the Miss USA pageant to be held this weekend?? I first saw them on The Today Show this morning and was shocked! I couldn't believe how provocative and racy they are! I am a little shocked that these are the pics representing each contestant. A little too racy for my liking... what do you think?? If they released these for a controversy marketing ploy - I am pretty sure they got their monies worth!

Isn't this the same pageant that has dethroned contestants and winners in the past for pics similar to these surfacing after pageants?? Interesting!

Busy Bee!

I have been a bad blogger buddy lately - missing both Friday and Monday posts! Ahhh! Sorry! I had an extremely busy weekend... Friday I drove up to San Clemente for Dylan's work event. I drove home Saturday morning and began preparing for the birthday party we were throwing for one of my good friends... which ended up going into the wee hours of the night - two late nights in a row - I am too old for this! Sunday was Mother's Day - so I headed over to my parent's house for a celebratory dinner for my Momma :-) I am now finally caught up on my sleep... just in time to be lacking in that department again... as I have a family friend's wedding in Boise, Idaho! I leave early Thursday morning through Sunday...

I promise to catch up on my posts before I leave!

Effortlessly Fab...

So I am pretty sure that I have made it public knowledge that I am a sucker for trashy reality TV - not the usual DWTS or American Idol - I am talking really trashy... like The Real Housewives (where ever the city may be), The Hills and The City. I know... totally losing braincells, should definitely be picking up a book instead but I just cant get enough. I watched the latest episode of The City last night - for those of you that have been living under a rock - this is a reality-based (key word based) show on MTV... a spin-off from The Hills... following the lives of four girls working in the NYC fashion industry - of course all with the most glamorous of apartments, jobs and my favorite - wardrobes! Seriously this is one of the reasons why I am still a fan - yes the arguments may all be the same but I LOVE to see what each person is wearing. This leads me into my favorite love to hate character, Olivia Palermo. It hurts watching sometimes because she comes off as such a snob - but seriously can I have her closet... or even just a quarter of it?? She is always dressed uber fabulous... like she put no thought or effort into it at all - and don't even get me started on her ever so perfect hair... I just cant get enough of her... absurd attitude and all!

Fiesta, Fiesta!

Happy Cinco de Mayo Amigos and Amigas! We all know the background of this festive holiday; however, many of us use it as an excuse to flash insanely bright colors, throw back the unneeded tequila shot, eat greasy, but delicious Mexican food and of course dance around in an over-sized sombrero :-) Gosh I love holidays... big or small!

One of my favorite brands, Theme, always have a number of fiesta inspired clothing - didn't disappoint. Theme is a line based in Los Angeles - launched their first line in 2007 - love them! Lucky for me it is carried in one of my favorite, local boutiques! Me and the main squeeze are planning on going out to get some festive cocktails and of course yummy tacos - I will be sporting one of their dresses that I bought last year... but here are a couple of my other favorites from their spring line!
