Decluttering...

This would be perfect for all of my ribbons!
Love how bright and airy this one feels...
The white makes this area feel so clean...
This one feels very practical...
This may work best... has the vintage feel that I want with functionality - Sold!

Dylan's Mom came down today with a couple of shelving units (and took me to a lovely lunch on the water!) that she was going to get rid of until I saved the little guys! I was so excited when I saw them - they were exactly what i was looking for for our second bedroom/office. If you can believe it we have had piles of books in a corner for almost two years! I know... I am turning a little red in the face just thinking about it! So not like my type A personality. I have sort of turned a blind eye to the office... until I actually began working from it full time!

I started going through our cluttered little room and throwing things away and making a 'give to Goodwill' pile. I soon realized that our desk is WAY to large for our tiny room... especially with the new shelving units! I mean don't get me wrong the desk is very functional as it has many little nooks and crannies where I am able to store my materials - but I am thinking that a tiny, simple desk would be the best option with shelving above for my materials! My office is just way too cramped! Now it is in my head and it must be done! I want sort of a vintage feel... no modern furniture for me... I am thinking I may be able to find just what I am looking for at a consignment shop... so stay tuned... that is if I can twist Dylan's arm in allowing me to do a make-over :-)

I have attached a few pics (don't you just love them??) that I found browsing around at other people's work spaces - these will be my inspiration for my new spot! I am not posting pics of my current... because like I said I may get a little too red in the face with the clutter... so unlike the rest of our home!

Ps... I got my hair done today (thankfully!) and my head bands have been selling well in there in the past month and they even want more!

Flipping Out!

Elizabeth's 'fancy pants' flip flops... a dark gray with black sequins applique...Elizabeth's pretty purps... the colors are even more vibrant in person...
Metallic pair... combo of gold/silver/bronze... lovely!
Navy blue with a midnight blue sequins applique and a vintage inspired pearl...

My friend Elizabeth is venturing off to sunny Florida (or at least she hopes!) this weekend and requested a Moosette accessory... we thought that a new pair of flip flops (or slippers if you are from Hawaii) would be the perfect addition to her spring dresses! I made a few extra and will be posting them on Etsy tomorrow. I can't wait to wear these little beauties in the next few weeks... if it ever warms up around here... actually living in Southern California we are pretty spoiled since we can pretty much wear flip flops year around :-)

Pretty Freaking Nifty!

I was watching the Today Show this morning and they had a segment on 'Fashion Emergencies' and featured a pretty freaking clever product that I am sure every woman can use... On the Cuff! This fashionable little cuff made from sponge is used anytime you are putting you hands in water... from washing the dishes... washing your face... washing the car - it helps you avoid getting water all down your sleeve... which I pretty much do every time I wash my face! I am so excited about this little contraption - just bummed I didn't think of it first. I am definitely purchasing a pair of these nifty little lifesavers! Oh and the best part they are only $7.99!

Stay tuned tomorrow - I will have pictures of my new products that you will flip over... pun intended... don't worry you will understand tomorrow!

Dylan dropped me off this morning and went into the office and will pick me up later tonight... such a fun day with Elizabeth, her Mom and the little one! So... I will get back down to business tomorrow!

Hope yall had a great weekend!

March = St. Patty's Day!

Adds the perfect pizazz to any St. Patty's Day wardrobe...

Emerald green trim... Gold leaves... Black feather... vintage inspired pearl = Lovely!

Understated green... just enough not to get pinched!

In honor of the 3rd day of March I have posted some new GREEN headbands on my Etsy store today! There is exactly two weeks until St. Patrick's Day so it gives everyone enough time to place an order and receive their green 'cherries' before the big day... remember if you don't sport green on the luckiest of holidays you will be pinched! Here is a sneak peek of what was posted today...

Ps... My hopes of sunshine yesterday worked - sunny skies all day long even though the forecast called for showers...

Willing the Sunshine...

Loving this cheerful scarf from Gap!
Sunny cardigan :-)
Obsessed with this fabulous necklace!

Loving this cover-up for the beach... now we just need beach weather!
And always obsessed with Tory Burch sandals... must have every year!

It took a while for the sun to come out; however, we are now enjoying a beautiful, cloudless sky... a little chilly for San Diego standards... but none the less tolerable. I think the blue skies are going to be short lived as we are supposed to get rain tonight and through the rest of the week... Boo! I know I shouldn't be complaining as our weather is pretty freaking superb in comparison to the rest of the country... but I am ready to work on my tan :-) I decided to post some cheery, yellow finds in hopes of willing the sun to stay out - or at least for this weekend... did I mention that Dylan and I are leaving reality behind for a quick getaway up to Santa Barbara this weekend?? So now you know why I am REALLY hoping for some clear skies... wishful thinking :-)

Belt It!

New ribbon belt...

The flowers are made from a vibrant teal and purple silk fabric...

Welcome back from the weekend... and the first day of March!

So... I have been super in to belts lately - I have been adding them to every outfit... from dresses, tunics, rompers, shirts... you name it - I slap a belt on over it! I just love the fact that you can wear a non-fitted item and still show that you have a waist. So... I obviously figured it was time for me to dabble in belts. I made one this afternoon and I think it came out pretty cute :-) I think this would complement a dress or romper quite well!

It is definitely time to belt it - I have added this to my Etsy store!

Blame it on the Rain...

The rain clouds officially rolled in this afternoon and the sky is getting darker... I think the rain is near... Boo! Don't get me wrong I LOVE the rain especially if it is accompanied by thunderstorms... but not on a Friday night when I am supposed to head downtown. I much prefer the raindrops while I am cozied up inside on the couch. I made plans to go out to dinner and cocktails with a couple of girlfriends downtown tonight but I just don't know how I am going to muster up the motivation... I blame it on the rain :-)

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend - and for those of you on the east coast enjoy the free snow cones - and those of us on the west coast... really more rain?? (please note I am completely aware of the fact that we are in desperate need of more rain here in southern California... but really on the weekend??) I have been a southern Californian for a majority of my life and I expect 70 degree weather at all times ;-)

Am I the only one who lacks motivation on rainy days??
