Shopping Gods Have Answered!

Not sure if I am the last to hear - but a couple of weeks ago J. Crew (one of my favs!) opened their factory store online! Yes - this means you can score some of your favorite styles for half the price! All items found at their factory store or online factory store are made exclusively for the outlets. The only catch to this little piece of heaven is the online store is only available on the weekends (Friday 12am - Sunday midnight)... but for me this still beats driving an hour south to the closest J. Crew Factory store!

Ready set... get shopping!

Roll Out the Tights...

here - $14
here - $14
here - $14
here - $28
here - $18

Probably my most favorite thing about fall/winter is the roll out of the tights! Now that it is a bit chilly (not for long the weekend forecast calls for 78 degrees in San Diego!) out I think it is the appropriate time to slip into some tights... I don't discriminate on color - I have been known to wear anything from a bright floral print to charcoal gray :-)

Singin in the Rain...

Umbrellas
  1. Barney's $125
  2. Walmart $24
  3. Moschino $75
  4. Asos $34
  5. Old Navy $8
  6. Mod cloth $34

We have had some crazy weather for the last few days of September! The beginning of the week we had record highs... which I am not complaining considering the sun is hard to come by these days! And this morning I woke up to tropical weather that made me feel like I was in Florida... and to top it off we have had off and on showers accompanied by thunder storms! Heaven!

I like to think of the rain as an excuse for an extra accessory... the umbrella - no reason to have boring black or navy blue... well unless you are caught in a storm and buy one on the street for less than $5! But add some sparkle to an otherwise dreary day...

Make a Statement...

Mineral Steps $58
Covered Dowel $138
Limitless Strands $38
Tour de Jewels $38
Silkin Droplets $58

I have always much preferred the simpler jewelry pieces; however, lately I have been totally lusting over some statement necklaces at Anthropoligie... Love!

Not So Boring...

Not so boring cardigans

From the top going clockwise

With the change of the season brings cool, crisp nights... which in turns means we need something to throw on over our shoulders... my favorite go-to item is the cardigan... not your school teacher's boring (no offense teachers!), plain cardi... but a fun staple to add some pizazz to your outfit!

Mad Inspiration...

Dries Van Norten
Paul Smith
Prada
Louis Vuitton

I am loving that the fashion world is taking aim from the costume design of Mad Men. There must be an old soul locked up inside my 28 year old body because I have always been smitten with 1950's fashion... I love the lady like style - the full skirts paired with fitted tops and the skinny belt to cinch the waist just right - LOVE! I am not sure if I can get away with this style in my everyday life... but it sure is uber fun to look at!

L.R.D.

red

Dresses starting from the center...

Diane Von Furstenberg

VALENTINO Dress
Forever21.com
Black Halo
3.1 Phillip Lim

The LWD (Little White Dress) replaced the timeless LBD (Little Black Dress) during the summer months; however, the upcoming fall an winter months are making room for the LRD (Little Red Dress). Say goodbye to the overly cautious LBD and try spicing things up with some fire engine red goodness! Oh and it makes it even more fun that there is already a song written for the occasion...

Embracing the Next Season...

I am gladly welcoming fall with open arms. I have spent many days wishing and hoping for summer to show it's face... but have been disappointed time after time - so I am happily ready to embrace some crisp fall days. With the turn of the seasons brings days spent watching football, cozy sweaters, a chance to use the fireplace, too much Halloween candy, jacuzzi nights, fresh pumpkin seeds, boots, adding holiday flair to th house and the countdown to Christmas!
